Ryan Tubridy says Late Late Toy Show shaping up to be 'biggest one to date'

Ryan Tubridy is gearing up for what could be "the biggest" Late Late Toy Show ever.

The RTE host said viewers will see him like they've "never saw him before".

The 46-year-old has revealed plans are being put in place for the yearly festive edition of The Late Late Show.

He said: "Very busy day yesterday but a most enjoyable [day], meeting people from all around the place.

"There was a big Toy Show meeting the size of a big juggernaut made out of marshmallows and candy floss, so that was good.

"It's only about six or seven weeks [to the Toy Show] when you think about it. And that's kind of terrifying and exciting at the same time.

"It is arguably going to be the biggest one we've done to date. It's that big."

He told his RTE Radio One listeners: "The opening number was under discussion yesterday and... I'm feeling good, yes, I'm feeling good.

"You're gonna see me like you've never saw me before - put it that way. So that's kind of exciting."

The nation's favourite annual programme, which began in 1975, will return on Friday, November 29.

The Toy Show was the most watched show in Ireland last year, with an average live audience of 1.3million - 74% of the audience watching television at the time.

Next month will see Tubridy present the show for the 11th time.
