RTE Ryan Tubridy replacement announced as Late Late Show host set to go 'off grid'

Baz Ashmawy is set to slot into Ryan Tubridy’s radio seat in the coming weeks as the Late Late Show host is set to take a break.

Tubridy will present his final show today before he embarks on his summer holidays.

The Dubliner will be absent from the airwaves for three weeks and admitted he plans to go “off grid” to completely relax before the busy telly season returns.

As usual, he is leaving his morning show in the hands of comic Oliver Callan — who will take to the mic for two weeks while he is gone.

RTE have confirmed that DIY SOS host Baz Ashmawy will also be part of the radio line-up in Tubs’s absence — as he is booked in to take the hot seat as a guest presenter for the third week.

Opening his show yesterday, Ryan announced his break by reading out a message from his team, saying: “They just sent me a message saying it is your second last day before your holidays.

“That’s true, I’m packing my bags and getting out of your hair for a few weeks.”
