Ryan Tubridy's replacement announced as Maggie Doyle as he leaves RTE Radio One for summer

Maggie Doyle is once again replacing Ryan Tubridy as he leaves his regular Radio 1 show.

The seasoned Wexford broadcaster will be filling in for Tubs for the next few weeks as she brings us the latest fast-paced, entertaining and informative conversation, RSVP Live reports.

Speaking on air this morning, she told listeners: "Good morning, it is The Ryan Tubridy Show with me, Maggie Doyle.

"I am going to be sitting in the chair for the next couple of weeks as Ryan takes a well deserved break.

"I hope he enjoys it."

RTE also shared a behind the scenes look for the Radio 1 studio. Posting a picture of Maggie behind the microphone, they said:  "Maggie Doyle @TheMaggieDoyle is in the hot-seat for Ryan for the next few weeks."

Maggie is no stranger to Radio 1 having filled in for  Ryan  's hour long 9-10am show on two occasions already this year.

She was in the hot seat during the Easter break before returning once again at the beginning of the summer

Elsewhere in the national broadcaster,  Miriam O'Callaghan  has once again taken over from Sean O'Rourke in his mid morning slot.

The seasoned broadcaster is at the helm of the 10-12pm slot for the rest of the summer.
