Ryan Tubridy reveals he has no plans to quit Late Late Show yet

Ryan Tubridy revealed that he’s “going nowhere” and plans to continue hosting the Late Late Show.

The RTE star, who has been the face of the hit talk show for 10 years, said: “I think I’m happier now than I have ever been here. I’m going nowhere.

“If I am asked to go somewhere, absolutely, I’ll walk on- but for now, there is no vacancy.”

But the 45-year-old also revealed that he turned down a “great” job opportunity in London because the time and circumstances weren’t right.

Ryan also said that his desk being removed from the show was a welcomed change.

The dad-of-two told the Irish Daily Star: “One of the great things that happened is removing the desk.

“It was something I was keen to do.

"Then when we got to London and we did the show there, the desk was gone and I felt it was great- it was like being in your front room.”

Ryan also expressed support for RTE colleague Miriam O’Callaghan who launched legal action after her name was being used to promote fake face creams on Facebook.

He said: “I think if her name has been wrongly cast, I think she should confront it and deal with it. I think she is doing the right thing.”
