Ryan Tubridy plugs radio roadshow in terrible RTE weather forecast promo

Ryan Tubridy has delivered a fairly terrible weather forecast-themed promo as he prepares to take his RTE radio show on the road.

The presenter will broadcast his RTE Radio One show every morning from 9am at different spots along the Wild Atlantic Way next week, starting with a two-hour special in Donegal town on Monday, June 3.

He'll take the RTE Radio One Roadcaster down to Sligo on Tuesday, before going to Ennistymon in Co Clare on Wednesday and finishing on Inis Mor on Thursday.

In order to promote it all, the host kicked Nuala Carey off the green screen and set about crafting his own piece to camera.

Tubs himself helpfully describes the "special" forecast as "one of the weirdest you might have seen on RTE in recent times".

He has predicted "not so hot" weather but guarantees he and his team will be "the sunshine on a grey day".

Tubs added that fans that visit the Roadcaster will get a cheap keyring for free.

He said: "The Wild Atlantic Way is calling and we’re taking to the road to visit just some of the most beautiful and welcoming spots along the route.

"From Donegal, to Sligo, Clare and the Aran Islands we’ll be weaving a piece of the Wild Atlantic Way magic into our listeners' days and, as ever, I’m looking forward to getting out and meeting the locals and characters along the way."

Joan Crawford, Wild Atlantic Way Manager for Failte Ireland, added: "Ryan Tubridy is a fantastic ambassador for the Wild Atlantic Way and he can really get across to his listeners what the Wild Atlantic Way is all about and how it captures people’s imagination."
