Ryan Tubridy wasted no time in getting into the spirit of things on The Late Late Show on Friday evening - joking about 'f bombs' right off the bat.
Last Friday saw a great celebration of Bob Geldof to celebrate the legendary Boomtown Rats singer's 70th birthday.
And the air was turned slightly blue by Geldof and the variety of guests, something that we aren't usually used to seeing on the light entertainment show.
"You know I spent the week sweeping up the f bombs from the studio floor after Bob Geldof's birthday celebration? A beautiful confetti of profanity, f bombs everywhere. We've used up our entire quota for the year!."
Famously, during the 2020 edition of the Late Late Toy Show, Tubs dropped an 'f bomb' of his own!
The host was having a mini-meal with AC/DC fan Abbie, when a bottle of Fanta Orange he was opening fizzed up and spilled.
Speaking afterwards, Ryan explained: "See kids, I cackled, it’s not just me! Look upon your hero now — TV’s Mr Nice, cursing like a sailor, albeit the yachting variety rather than the merchant navy ones.
"It was a moment which offered succour to the weary, foul-mouthed, bedraggled parents of Ireland.
"If consummate professional Tubs can swear on the biggest night of the year, then we can all feel better about the muttered, whispered, rasped and occasionally shouted expletives that help us get through life with kids.
""Swear, let that anger and frustration out Ryan, you try to do something nice for the kids and the universe stuck its oar in, so let the the power of the dark side coarse through you like Fanta through a synthetic knit."
