Ryan Tubridy has posted a video message to his fans following the news he contracted Covid-19 to say: "I'm in flying form."
The RTE star confirmed on Monday he had tested positive for the coronavirus.
And The Late Late Show host on Monday night provided a positive update on the illness which has kept him off the airwaves since last Wednesday.
In a short video, he said: "Everybody thank you so much for those gorgeous wishes, I can't thank you enough.
"I'm in flying form and I'm back in business thank god.
"I had a small dose and thankfully that is gone.
"I'm going to keep you posted on Instagram, we're gonna have some fun and mind yourself."
In the clip on his Instagram story, he also wrote: "Love and respect to our frontline heroes and their families.
"They matter so much to our country."
Oliver Callan will continue to host The Ryan Tubridy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 while plans for this Friday’s Late Late Show will be issued in the coming days.
Breaking the news earlier on Monday, Tubs said: “Like so many other people in Ireland, I tested positive.
“But I was in the very fortunate position to have a very unintrusive experience, which I now have come to the end of.
“While I’ve been at home watching television and listening to the radio, I have been bowled over by the extraordinary work of our front line heroes and their families who continue to make Ireland a healthier and safer place.
“I look forward to being back to work really soon.”
