Broadcaster Ryan Tubridy could barely contain his excitement as he spoke about one of his upcoming guests on the Late Late Show this week.
The RTE star is set to have a chat with Dr Anthony Fauci this Friday who is director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in America.
However, Fauci has become known as the top doctor who is leading the charge in the battle against Covid-19 in the States which has been adversely affected by the virus.
And Tubs has made his excitement abundantly clear as he gears up to speak with the top doctor during the chat show.
Speaking on his RTE Radio One show on Thursday morning he said: "Do you know who I'm interested in talking tomorrow night on the late late is Dr Anthony Fauci whose joining us from NYC to talk about what the hell is going on over there.
"He has the most difficult job, particularly in the US this week they hit over 200k people dead, this is the fourth largest wholesale death rate in the country - the civil war, the flu, and World War Two."
Ryan also said he looked forward to probing the expert on his embattled relationship with president Donald Trump who has been lambasted for his handling of the virus.
"When Trump was asked about this he said two things, one he's handled it brilliantly and two the numbers could have been one or two million.
"He undermines Anthony Fauci at every turn, has pretty much taken him off TVs so he can't outshine him as Fauci is liked and respected and in some ways that's why he's available to us tomorrow night because Trump doesn't want to have him on so i will

Also joining Ryan this week will be former president of Ireland Mary McAleese along with championship boxer Kellie Harrington.
The Late Late Show airs on RTE One at 9.35pm on Friday.
