Ryan Tubridy brought smiles to the faces of sick children after visiting Crumlin Hospital.
The Late Late Show host described the experience as 'humbling' after meeting patients and their parents this morning.
Tubs, who is also a Children's Medical & Research Foundation ambassador, said: "It's always humbling to walk through the corridors of Crumlin Hospital, meeting children and their families who have a lot going on in their world but always handling the situation with dignity and determination.
“The same can be said for the staff who, at every level, endeavour to make the world a kinder place for boys and girls from all over Ireland.
"The CMRF Foundation could always do with a little help along the way and I hope people can do that by donating whatever they can.”
Fiona O'Malley, Head of Communications at CMRF added: “It was so wonderful to have Ryan visit the sick children at CHI at Crumlin.
“He is always so generous with his time and it is wonderful to see all the children’s faces light up when they see him."
One in 100 children in Ireland are born with a structural heart defect, and one in 19 people in Ireland carry the Cystic Fibrosis gene.
CMRF Crumlin provides funding for Children's Health Ireland at Crumlin and the National Children's Research Centre, which invests in vital research into childhood illnesses like cancer, cardiac diseases, cystic fibrosis, diabetes and eczema to name a few.
