Ryan Tubridy appalled as he responds to deaths of mum and two kids in Dublin

Ryan Tubridy was audibly shocked this morning as he offered his “sincerest condolences” to the family of a mother and two children found dead in a Dublin house yesterday.

The Dubliner was clearly appalled as he delivered the grim message on radio, after the bodies of Seema Banu Syed and her children Affira and Fazam were discovered in a house in Ballinteer.

Sounding on the verge of tears, Tubs said: “A 37-year-old, an 11-year-old and a 6-year-old are no longer with us because of whatever catastrophe brought them to this point in their lives.

“This is the second time this week that we've had to talk about three family members in one house who are no longer with us because of a horrible, catastrophic situation,” he added, in a tragic reference to the triple shooting in Kanturk earlier this week.

“I don't know anything about the circumstances.

“All I know is that life is complicated and life is very difficult for people.

“And that is magnified and multiplied by what's happening in the world at the moment.

“Those kids should be sitting on the couch watching the Toy Show in four weeks’, six weeks’ time. And they're gone now.”

And Tubridy had a message for the country off the back of the horrific incident.

The RTE host said: “We as friends and family and neighbours, and cousins and brothers and sisters, mums and dads, uncles and aunties and granddads and grandmothers – we just need to take a breath every now and again.

“And stop sweating the small stuff if we can.

“And if we're lucky enough to be intellectually, emotionally and physically strong, that we can mind people who are less than those things. And that might make the world a little better.”
