Doting dad Ryan Thomas has joked about lack of sleep after welcoming a baby boy with his fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh.
The former Coronation Street star shared a snap of himself gazing at baby Roman on Instagram while jokingly having a frank word with his son.
"I'm knackered son!" he captioned the picture of himself lying face-to-face with the newborn wearing a white gown.
Ryan, 35, has brought Roman into his home workouts while Lucy, 28, is recovering from childbirth while social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Instagramming a snap of Ryan performing a squat while holding his son, Lucy said: "Results with Ryan and Roman."
The former The Only Way Is Essex star admitted she 'hates' not being able to do her daily workouts, but explained:
"I’m still in my postpartum recovery which is usually 6-8 weeks."
Ryan, who played Jason Grimshaw in Corrie, recently shared a heartbreaking photo of his 11-year-old daughter meeting her newborn brother through FaceTime because of the COVID-19 outbreak.
And he said he's finding it tough being away from Scarlett, his daughter with his ex Tina O'Brien.
Sharing a snap of the moment the siblings met via technology, he said it was 'sad' that this is how Scarlett met baby brother Roman for the first time, but he urged that we all need to take isolation and distancing seriously amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"Thank god for technology!" he wrote.
"I’m finding it really tough being away from my family and sad this is how my daughter met her baby brother.
"To any other broken families I feel your pain and it’s killing me being apart from my daughter and family for so long, especially at this special time."
He added: "BUT we all need to take social isolation and social distancing seriously and it’s a sacrifice we have to make to save lives."
New mum Lucy hit back at criticism she received after taking their newborn for a stroll on Mother’s Day with Ryan.
After sharing a video clip of the family on their walk she received messages taking a swipe at her.
“For DMs about me going for a walk being hypocritical …” she addressed.
“I walk with Ryan and Roman for an hour a day.
“We don't come into contact with anyone or touch anything.
“From a distance I could see big groups of people having coffees together on benches, shops full, groups of people chatting, coffee shops packed!!
“I don't understand.”
