Ryan Thomas said he immediately turns to new mum Lucy Mecklenburgh for reassurance while parenting.
The engaged couple have become a "tag team" when it comes to raising their nine-week old newborn Roman while balancing their other household chores.
Although Ryan did this before 11 years ago with his daughter Scarlett and his ex Tina O'Brien, he admitted he has been learning on the job and leaning on first-time mum Lucy for advice.
They became parents just before the UK's strict lockdown confined the couple to their home.
Ryan heaped on the praise for his fiancée while he spoke about parenting during WaterWipes' Early Days Club Zoom call which functions a virtual support group for expectant and new parents during lockdown.

"I'm always looking for reassurance from Lucy. She knows her baby so well. She knows the routine. She keeps tabs. I don't even have a diary." He said on the zoom call.
"It's really strange, I did this 11 years ago but it feels like I'm doing it for first time no rule book when it comes to parenting."
The former Coronation Street star explained the couple have been taking it in turns looking after the baby to make sure they get enough sleep to function and keep a routine.

Ryan championed it was "working" for the lovebirds and he offered an insight into how he was trying to lift some of the work off Lucy's shoulders in lockdown.
He added: "We try and tag team, enough sleep to function and keep a routine. I always feel if you can try and sleep one in one out. It seems to work for us.
"Sterilising the bottles, cooking food for Lucy, trying to keep her feed her so she's got all the right vitamins, amazing contributions of a father. I try to do the bits she can't do and it's working."

His daughter Scarlett, nine, has also been lending Lucy a hand while the first-time mum breast feeds her newborn.
Ryan gushed over his eldest child's help as little Scarlett divided up her time fairly between her two parents' homes amid the pandemic sweeping the globe.
He said: "Scarlett has been so good just helping Lucy. Now Lucy is breast feeding, it's good to have extra pair of hands when she is walking round pumps on. It's hard to hold baby at same time. It's a real help, Scarlett has been amazing."
