Ryan Thomas has candidly admitted that he’s resorted to drinking two bottles of wine a night in a bid to help him get through the lockdown.
The former Coronation Street star, 36, revealed that he has been stuck in a vicious cycle of drinking and being hungover in recent months.
Opening up about his bad booze habits on Mancs On The Mic podcast this week, Ryan revealed that he’s searching for 'any excuse’ to pour himself a glass of wine.
The Celebrity Big Brother winner confessed: “I’m literally just finding any excuse to have a drink.”
He went on to reveal that when he starts hitting the booze, it’s ‘all or nothing’.
The former soap star doesn’t see the point in having just 'the one’, because, for him, it's all or nothing.
Ryan told: "It’s like, everything’s all or nothing, so it’s not even like I have a couple of drinks.
“I’ll have two bottles of red wine and I’m like, 'Why?' I’ve got to get up tomorrow and I’ve got a routine with Roman and with Lucy and I’ve got commitments and I've got jobs coming up that I need to be focused for.”
Although he loves nothing more than sipping on some red wine, Ryan’s hangovers are beginning to get the better of him.
And after indulging in a lot of alcohol over the past couple of months, the much-loved star has finally managed to cut down after the horrendous hangovers made him ‘hate’ himself.
During the honest podcast chat, he admitted: “It’s just a constant battle man, and I hate it, I hate myself for it."
While the hangovers have begun to take a toll on him, Ryan insisted that he'll never stop drinking because he enjoys the social aspect of it too much.
The soap star has been busying caring for his son Roman while holed up at home during the lockdown.
Ryan and his wife Lucy welcomed their beautiful baby boy at the height of the pandemic last year.
Roman will celebrate his first birthday next month.
