Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien has caused a stir with a very cryptic remark about 'not trusting what you see on social media' following her ex Ryan Thomas ' baby announcement.
Ryan confirmed he was expecting a baby with girlfriend Lucy Mecklenburgh over the weekend using a tear-jerking video of daughter Scarlett, who he shares with Tina, finding out their happy news.
Ten-year-old Scarlett was candidly filmed opening a box that revealed she was to have a new baby brother or sister causing her to burst into tears.
Days later, Tina took to Instagram on Monday night to share an image that read: "Don't always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar."

She was immediately supported by her Corrie co-stars.
Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria in the soap, shared a laughing emoji.
While Nikki Sanderson, who jumped ship to Hollyoaks, wrote: "So true."
But some of Tina's followers began to speculate at the motivation behind the sassy comment.

One said: "I hope this isn't about the baby announcement. If it is then maybe you should speak to Ryan and Lucy privately rather than make a social media swipe."
"Now that's a weird post..." said another.
"Delete this. It just looks jealous," replied a third.

Tina and Ryan dated for six years before they split in 2009.
The duo have remained on good terms and co-parent their daughter Scarlett, who was born a year before they split.
Over the Bank Holiday weekend, Ryan revealed he was to have another child with girlfriend of two years Lucy Mecklenburgh.
Lucy broke the news first by sharing a snap of her blossoming bump at her recent 28th birthday party.
While Ryan opted to share the heart-warming moment he told his daughter she was going to be a big sister.

In the adorable video, Scarlett opens up a box with a cute balloon inside saying: "You are going to be a big sister!"
Breaking down in tears the ten-year-old, who Ryan shares with Corrie actress Tina O'Brien, is then hugged by Lucy and Ryan.
Lucy quips: "These are happy tears!"
