Ryan Thomas has pulled on the heartstrings of his fans as he dedicated an Instagram post to his daughter for missing her birthday.
The former Coronation Street actor was gutted he couldn't be there for Scarlett's birthday and admitted it was the first one he's missed.
Caught in a guilt trap, the hunky dad posted a sweet message to Scarlett on his Instagram page to say sorry on her big day.
In a cute post which featured numerous snaps of Scarlett and her dad, he wrote: "Happy Birthday to the little angel in life. First birthday iv ever missed, 11 years old today wow!!! "
He pulled out all the stops with his perfect dad post, adding that she's inspired him.
He continued: "Perfect in every way, I've learnt so much from scarlett & I can't wait to spend the rest of my life watching her grow, shine into the star she is destine to be ❤"
Their close bond is shown in the adorable pictures, including one where Scarlett is grabbing onto his arm as they walk closely together.
Cecilia Harris, who is Ryan's fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh's PT, commented: "Beautiful angel. Happy birthday Scarlett another star was born."
Ryan, who has Scarlett with ex Tina O'Brien, is expecting his first child with Lucy Mecklenburgh early next year.
Taking to Instagram again, the couple decided to shun the traditional gender reveal party, in favour of something much more candid.
Ex Corrie star Ryan, 35, first shared a picture of him holding pregnant girlfriend Lucy, 28, in his arms as she cradled her blossoming bump.
The mum was wearing a chic blue swimming costume as they posed on a yacht in front of a stunning background.
"Blue is for.......?" Ryan wrote in the caption, confirming they are expecting a son together.
Ryan's brother Adam Thomas joined the throng of fans congratulating the happy couple.
"Dreams really do come true!!," wrote the Love Island star.
