For the first time since March, the Golden State Warriors saw action inside San Francisco’s Chase Center. During their voluntary offseason minicamp, the Warriors competed against each other in a live 5-on-5 scrimmage.
The Warriors broke off into “Blue” and “White” teams for the match. To make the scrimmage “as game-like as possible,” the Warriors donned their official home and away uniforms.

Before the scrimmage tipped-off, Golden State shooting guard Damion Lee chimed in on Twitter with Stephen Curry’s signature pregame tweet. Lee called for Dub Nation to “lock-in” for the scrimmage.

According to the Warriors Sr. Vice President of Communications Raymond Ridder, the Blue team won the scrimmage over the White team, 52-40. G Leaguers Ryan Taylor and Jeremy Pargo led the contest in scoring. Taylor scored a scrimmage-high 18 points. Marquese Chriss added seven boards in the scrimmage, per Ridder.

Both Klay Thompson and Eric Paschall were held out of the scrimmage due to conditioning issues. Thompson has yet to suit up for a full 5-on-5 scrimmage since returning to practice after a 15-month layoff.
After recovering from his knee injury, Steve Kerr said the Warriors are “taking it really slow” with Thompson. The five-time All-Star shooter has been limited to “controlled scrimmages” at Golden State’s offseason minicamp.
Following Golden State’s scrimmage at Chase Center, Kerr said the Warriors wouldn’t have any more “formal scrimmages” at minicamp. However, the team will have the chance to play “old school” 5-on-5 pickup at minicamp.

The Warriors will continue minicamp inside the San Francisco “Dubble” until Oct. 6.
