Ryan Tannehill thinks Titans can ‘do something special’ in 2020

Ryan Tannehill was once a mere insurance policy for former Tennessee Titans starting quarterback Marcus Mariota, but it took him all of one season to become the team’s signal-caller of the future.

Many fans were skeptical of his abilities heading into last season with his history of inconsistency, but he shocked everyone by recording the most successful season of his career.

It took a complete team effort, but there’s no doubt that handing the reins over to Tannehill at quarterback in Week 7 helped the Titans turn their 2-4 season around to make a run for the AFC Championship Game.

Tannehill had a message for Titans fans on Monday evening, one day after signing a four-year contract extension.

“I had so much fun last year, and couldn’t be more excited to be back,” he said. “I think we have a great locker room, a great organization, a great team, great coaching staff and a great opportunity this year to do something special.”

It’s good to see Tannehill is ready to get back to action and back up his $118 million dollar payday.
