One of the best surprises of the 2018 season was the play of wide receiver Ryan Switzer. When Pittsburgh made the trade bringing Switzer from the Oakland Raiders, it wasn’t clear what the Steelers were getting. After all, the Raiders had just traded for Switzer from the Dallas Cowboys four months earlier.
But Switzer found a home with the Steelers and the rest, as they say, is history. Switzer shared his story with the team’s official site including how much quarterback Ben Roethlisberger helped him with his transition and what being on the Steelers has meant for him personally. It is truly refreshing to hear the good news that comes from this team. With so many former players feeling the need to disparage the franchise, guys like Switzer and others counter their arguments in a big way.
