Former Hearts star Ryan Stevenson has been all-but ruled out for the rest of Albion Rovers' League Two run-in.
There are only three games left, but boss Brian Reid doesn't expect to have the star available again for the rest of this term, having picked up an Achilles problem in the 2-0 defeat at home to Stranraer last Tuesday.
And Reid admitted he's also sweating over Callum Wilson and Alfie Robinson, who were taken off with an ankle and hamstring injury, respectively, during today's 1-0 win over Annan Athletic, which has secured League Two football for another season.
While pleased that they managed to get all five substitutes on this afternoon, Reid says he will need to assess the damage in training this week, before heading for a crunch clash at Stenhousemuir on Thursday.
He said: "I think 'Steve' will probably not play for the rest of this season. There are three games left and he's got a niggle with his Achilles. I don't think it's as bad as we thought.

"But we already have two or three or four players who are missing, and it takes its toll. It's not ideal. You'd like everybody to be fit and available, but those are the circumstances that we're in and that was always the danger, coming back out of pre-season.
"You need everyone in the squad to be available and ready to step on and do a job, and it was good to get five players on today, but I just hope the injuries are not too severe - wee Callum Wilson goes off with an ankle, then big Alfie Robinson goes off with a hamstring.
"That's the problem that's coming now, it was always the fear with so many games crammed into a short space of time, and that has happened today because we have two injuries.
"If we had played the 18 and been finished it probably would have been fine, but we've had to play these other four games and it is what it is, and we just need to finish the season on a high, and finish strongly."
Reid wouldn't be drawn on his hopes of keeping stars like Stevenson on for next season, but says he will be talking to players.
He said: "We'll sit down over the coming weeks and will talk to everybody, but Ryan's a guy I've worked with at length at Ayr United, I know him well, he's a good character and has had a good career, and he has been a joy since he has come in - he has helped the young ones and everything - so that's something we'll sit down and talk about."
