Ryan Sessegnon to Tottenham: £25m transfer completed, five-year deal, Onomah moves to Fulham

Ryan Sessegnon is a Tottenham player.

It has taken a few years, but Spurs have finally got the Fulham wonderkid.

Spurs have been keen admirers of the teenager for a number of years, linked with a move for him in previous transfer windows.

And now Sessegnon has signed for the north London outfit on transfer deadline day.

Sessegnon made 35 appearances in his debut Premier League campaign last season, scoring two goals and providing six assists. His performances has caused reignited interest from Pochettino, who is hoping that he will be a late arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Pochettino is believed to have funds available for next season and the prospect of the manager working with the youngster is most definitely very exciting.

Here's what we know about the player's future so far.

Fulham contract

It appears that Scott Parker's side are going to have to cash in on the player this summer as he has told Fulham he will not extend his contract that expires in 2020, according to The Guardian.

The report also claims that the player has his heart set on a move to Spurs so he can work under Pochettino despite interest from PSG and Manchester United.

Transfer fee

Fulham are said to still want big money for the player despite the fact his contract expires at the end of next June.

A fee of £45million has been mentioned but Spurs are not inclined to pay more than £25m for the England U21 international given that he only has one more year left on his current contract.

Sessegnon's future

The youngster was rather coy about his future towards the end of last season when speaking to Sky Sports.

Quizzed about if he will still be at Craven Cottage come August, he said: "I'm still a Fulham player, contracted until 2020.

"So I'm still a Fulham player and in terms of that, that's all I can say at the moment."

Parker on keeping Sessegnon

Speaking following the 4-0 drubbing against Newcastle United on the final day of last season, Parker spoke about the difficulty of trying to keep the player in west London.

"When you're relegated, you'll always be vulnerable to losing your best players. We will be no different," said the ex-Spurs midfielder.

"In saying that, the owners are committed to this team and have invested a lot of money into this team.

"I have no doubt they will be doing everything in their power to keep the best talent and best players, so that gives us an opportunity next year.

"Of course I'd love Ryan Sessegnon to be at the club. Ryan fits into the bracket of a few others we want to keep. It's going to be a busy summer of rebuilding and us trying to keep hold of players."

Fee agreed

It looks as though the Fulham full back is heading to Tottenham on deadline day.

Spurs and the Cottagers have agreed a fee of £25m plus add-ons, which could see it rise to £30m, for the 19-year-old, with Tottenham midfielder Josh Onomah heading to Craven Cottage as part of the deal, according to the BBC.

Sessegnon will now arrive at Tottenham to hold talks and undergo a medical ahead of signing a contract with the club.

Transfer done

Tottenham have not yet confirmed the deal, but Ryan Sessegnon is now a Spurs player.

The Fulham youngster completed his medical on transfer deadline day and put pen to paper on a five-year deal in north London.

Spurs also have an option to extend the teenager's deal by a further year.

As part of the £25million deal, Spurs could owe Fulham an extra £5million in add-ons.
