Ryan Sessegnon's cryptic social media hint ahead of potential Tottenham debut against Everton

Ryan Sessegnon could finally make his Tottenham Hotspur debut this weekend.

The teenager was one of two new arrivals in north London on transfer deadline day back in August - along with Giovani Lo Celso - in a move which was certainly a signal of intent for Mauricio Pochettino's side going into the new campaign.

However, Sessegnon missed the first four games of the season as a result of the hamstring injury sustained on international duty with the England Under-21's during the summer.

He did train with his teammates ahead of the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace last month, but suffered a setback with a recurrence of the hamstring problem which has delayed is debut even further.

There was some great news for the ex-Fulham star when it was confirmed during the international break last month that he was "entering late stages of rehabilitation" and could soon be available for selection.

That has turned out to be the case.

Sessegnon has been in full training for a over a week now and is available for Sunday's Premier League clash against Everton at Goodison Park.

But will he feature after being left out of the squad to face Liverpool last weekend?

Taking to Twitter ahead of his potential debut against the Toffees, Sessegnon posted a few images of him in Friday's training session with an hourglass emoji which hints that the wait for his Spurs bow is almost over.

Danny Rose is suspended for the game on Merseyside after picking up his fifth booking of the season against Liverpool last weekend and that could pave the way for Sessegnon's inclusion in the matchday squad.

Mauricio Pochettino was asked if the versatile player could make the trip and said: "We're assessing all the players this weekend.

"We have tomorrow a session and then travel to Liverpool and we'll see if he can be involved."

"He's there, I cannot say that he's complete in the way that we can say we trust him to play 90 minutes," he added. "We have a big squad, it's difficult to give the possibility, but he's still young.

"He needs to work hard, he had a long period of injury, but for sure he is going to get an opportunity to play in the future.

"He came from Fulham with a massive injury, we are working hard to try to give the level.

"Always when you have a squad like we have, a big squad, you need to wait for the opportunity and be ready."
