Ryan Reynolds has teamed up with AbleGamers to highlight the good work the charity does for disabled gamers.
Taking to Twitter on Thursday, AbleGamers COO Steven Spohn shared a fun clip of himself and the Hollywood actor talking about the importance of making video games more inclusive, to help combat isolation and to improve the quality of life for those with disabilities.
In his trademark tongue-in-cheek manner, Reynolds started off by joking that he'd declined a substantial fee to help promote the charity, before going on to highlight its work.
“AbleGamers.org has been helping people with disabilities in gaming for over 15 years now. They've helped thousands and thousands of people all around the world as an international charity, but there are thousands of more people still waiting to get equipment that they desperately need,” Reynolds said.
The charity helps disabled gamers with various services to make sure that anyone, regardless of who they are or what might stop them from playing games, have the chance to do so.
The video states that there are thousands of people in America who simply aren't able to play games because of disability stopping them, but AbleGamers can help in numerous ways.
Not only do they provide money for custom-made controllers, the organisation is looking at setting up gaming centres to offer a sense of community.
Spohn was one of the many people Microsoft asked to help with designing its Adaptive Xbox One controller, which allows players to create a custom controller experience by connecting external switches, buttons, mounts, and joysticks to help make gaming more accessible
