Deadpool star and Hollywood heart-throb Ryan Reynolds is to star in BT’s latest TV ad campaign.
Reynolds, who is married to Gossip Girl star Blake Lively, stars in a tongue-in-cheek ad promoting BT’s 52Mb broadband service, Infinity.
The ad is part of BT’s “Behind the Scenes” campaign that parodies the creation of ads.
“Faster” features the 39-year old driving up to a house in an expensive car and telling viewers that in his hectic life he needs a fast broadband service.
“We understand that speed really matters to our customers and wanted to reflect this in an amusing and entertaining way,” said Dan Ramsay, marketing director at BT Consumer.
Stars featuring in BT ads have included actors Willem Dafoe, , Ewan McGregor and Rebel Wilson, as well as footballers Gareth Bale and Rio Ferdinand.
The ad, which breaks on Saturday, was made by agency AMV BBDO.
