Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds has staged a glitzy premiere of his latest movie for pandemic heroes.
The actor, 44, picked the North Wales market town of Wrexham to host a first showing of Free Guy and gave free tickets to NHS staff and emergency workers.
Deadpool star Ryan wanted to help the local community after buying Wrexham FC with actor pal Rob McElhenney, rolling out a red carpet for 999 and charity staff at Eagles Meadow Odeon.
Ryan wanted to thank them for their hard work during the pandemic.

He said: “I am mortified that I haven’t been able to get to Wrexham because of restrictions with travel.
Any time I can reach out to the community and do something, I am happy to do it.
“Our work in Wrexham has as much to do with the football club as it does with the community that surrounds it. It’s been really exciting and it’s been a lot of fun.”
Free Guy, released today, is an action comedy in which Reynolds plays a bank worker who becomes aware his world is actually a video game. It also stars Blake Lively and Jodie Comer.

Wrexham Council leader Mark Pritchard said: “The whole event was fantastic for Wrexham.”
The event was filmed for a documentary on Wrexham FC.
Reynolds and McElhenney took over the non-league club in February, investing £2million.
