Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's Welcome to Wrexham: season two release date and how to watch it

This is everything we know so far about Welcome to Wrexham season two.

Disney+ posted a picture on Twitter with a pretty big spoiler for the second season of the documentary, after the first season warmed fans' hearts. Wrexham FC was bought by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney back in 2021, and the first season of Welcome to Wrexham covered their first years managing the team as first-time owners.

Now, Disney+ has tweeted that season two of the show was coming to the platform this year, alongside an image it deemed a 'spoiler alert' for the next series.

Last week Wrexham beast Boreham Wood 3-1 to win the National League, which means they get automatically promoted to the next Football League. While Premier League status is still far off for the team, it's a huge moment to have moved up.

Tweeting a picture of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney holding the National League cup, Disney+ said: "SPOILER ALERT. Coming in 2023, Season 2 is going to be WILD. Catch-up on the journey so far with Season 1 of Welcome to Wrexham, now streaming on Disney+".

Fans were excited to hear that the show would be returning, even knowing how it will end. One person said: "Damn shame we know the ending eh, but what a season!!" and another said: "You've just spoiled the end of Season 2..." with a laughing face emoji.

The first season of the fly-on-the-wall documentary ended on sadder note when Wrexham lost a play-off semi-final against Grimsby Town, ending up the runners up in the National League and not securing promotion.
