Ryan Ramczyk clocks in at 72 in PFF’s Top 101 Players of 2018

New Orleans Saints right tackle Ryan Ramczyk had a stellar second season, even if he was robbed of a spot on the Pro Bowl roster. But Ramczyk was recognized by Pro Football Focus as one of their Top 101 players of 2018, forming an elite bookend with left tackle Terron Armstead:

Ramczyk followed up his breakout rookie campaign with yet another premier season at right tackle in 2018. Including the postseason, he ranked in the top-10 among offensive tackles in overall grade at 81.3 with his run-blocking grade of 77.1 listing at fourth overall. Ramczyk led all offensive linemen by receiving a negative grade on just 6.9 percent of his run-block attempts, and for his dominance in the running game, he earned PFF’s 2018 Run Blocker of the Year honors.

Ramcyzk has lived up to his billing as one of the best offensive linemen from the 2017 NFL Draft class, paving the way for big gains on the ground while keeping quarterback Drew Brees clean. His 2018 season did tail off somewhat down the stretch as he dealt with an injury, limiting his ability to work against defenders with his outside shoulder. But Ramczyk did enough to get his team in position to win games, and will continue to be a major factor in their plans moving forward.
