Ryan Moon won't be offered a deal at Hibs after recent trial spell

South African striker Ryan Moon hasn’t won himself a deal with Hibs after his recent trial spell.

The former Kaizer Chiefs front man came on as a half-time substitute in the 3-2 defeat to Arbroath and headed home a late consolation for the Hibees.

He was then given another chance to impress in the 3-1 win over Dunfermline at East End Park and played in last night’s dramatic 4-3 victory away at Carlisle Utd.

Paul Heckingbottom won’t be taking his interest any further however.

Hopes of bringing Marc McNulty back to Easter Road this season were given a boost this week after Reading boss Jose Gomes asked the Scotland international to stay away from pre-season training and that he is free to find a new club.

The arrival of Chris Doidge for a reported £350,000 earlier in the window may mean a move for McNulty is less of a priority or possibility, but the club are understood to be open to doing a deal if it makes financial sense.
