Ryan Mmaee to Celtic transfer latest as Ferencvaros chief reveals 'offers on the table'

Celtic target Ryan Mmaee has "offers on the table" as Ferencvaros' sporting director addressed the attacker's future. Record Sport revealed earlier this summer that the Premiership champions had scouted the Moroccan international star.

Mmaee, who can play as a striker or attacking midfielder, was the Hungarian club's top scorer last term with 11 goals in 14 starts. The 24-year-old has also been linked with French side Saint-Etienne but it's believed he has no interest in moving to Ligue 2.

And as Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou refuses to rule out adding more new faces to his title-winning squad, Ferencvaros chief Tamas Hajnal says the club are braced for offers for their top stars before the transfer window closes. He said: "We have to understand that interest in our players has increased in recent years and there may be some departures before the transfer window shuts. I won't name names, but there are offers on the table for our players.

"There are rumours about our players that have been reported that have a basis in reality and some that do not. At the moment, I prefer not to say which ones are correct."

Mmaee has just recovered from an ankle injury and has yet to start a game for Ferencvaros this season. He has only been used off the bench only so far.
