Ryan McMenamin has taken the plunge into inter-county management after being appointed as the new Fermanagh boss.
The former Tyrone defender has been ratified as Rory Gallagher’s successor having worked alongside him for the past two years as Fermanagh reached last year’s Ulster final and won promotion from Division Three before contending strongly for a spot in the top flight this spring.
McMenamin’s former county teammate Joe McMahon has been confirmed as part of his management team along with Paul McIver of Ballinderry, son of former Derry and Donegal manager Brian.
The remainder of his backroom team will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
McMenamin becomes the second member of Tyrone’s All-Ireland winning sides of the last decade to take the Fermanagh job after Peter Canavan held the post for two years before standing down in 2013.
