The Apprentice's Ryan-Mark Parsons slams this year's contestants as 'dull and boring'

Ryan-Mark Parsons, star of Celebs Go Dating, has hit out at this year's series of The Apprentice, calling the contestants "dull and boring".

The 21-year-old appeared on the hit BBC One show aged 19 in 2019 - making him the youngest ever candidate since the programme began in 2005.

Ryan-Mark had been working at in the Gucci store at Harrods before putting his hat in the ring to become Lord Sugar's business partner.

The reality regular is remembered by The Apprentice viewers for trying out a rollercoaster at Thorpe Park in week six, providing real comedy value.

However he was fired by the business mogul two weeks later.

Ryan-Mark Parsons hasn't held back about his impression of this year's contestants on The Apprentice (BBC)

Sharing his thoughts on this year's cohort, Ryan-Mark said "I think they need to be bolder, no characters I have to say," he told The Sun.

"I haven’t heard any headlines.

"I think they’re a bit boring and dull this year, nothing on my year."

Ryan-Mark has now popped up on E4's Celebs Go Dating, in which he's joined the likes of Gladiators' star Ukrika Jonsson looking for love.

The TV star made quite the impression on the show last week after being branded the "rudest person" that love guru Paul C Brunson had ever me last week.

He's been on a number of "very traumatic" dates so far on the show, however Ryan-Mark is apparently exploring a new romance, hinting at a "positive ending near the end of the series".

Last week, the Londoner scored three out of ten from his date - the worst in the dating agency's history.

The result didn't seem to phase Ryan-Mark, but dating expert Paul was fuming.

He said: "You are literally the most rude person I have ever met.

"Do you know what rudeness is? It's a defence mechanism to cover up insecurities and low self esteem.

"Here's the problem - you're not progressing."

Ryan-Mark replied: "Yeah because you're giving me s*** dates."

Despite their set-to, the Apprentice star had nothing but praise for the dating experts, explaining their "tough love" made him not be "so harsh initially".

The Apprentice is on BBC on Thursday on BBC One at 9pm

Celebs Go Dating is on weekdays at 9pm on E4
