Ryan Lowe revealed Plymouth Argyle's game plan to get at Bolton Wanderers early on in their win over Ian Evatt's side exceeded his expectations with two early goals and that the Pilgrims could have had more.
Wanderers fell behind in the first half to a quickfire double from the hosts scored by Brendan Galloway and Conor Grant.
Bolton tried to find a way back into the encounter, but in increasingly treacherous weather condtions as the rain got heavier and heavier in Devon, Ryan Broom scored the Pilgrims' third as full-time approached.

The result leaves Wanderers 11th in League One, with their next encounter this Saturday at home against Gillingham.
The Pilgrims meanwhile remain top of the division, a point ahead of Sunderland, after the 3-0 victory at Home Park.
Wanderers came to Home Park on the back of losing 4-0 to Wigan Athletic, something that Lowe picked up on.
And with the long journey down to Devon on the back of that loss, Lowe told PlymouthLive that his side wanted to get at Wanderers early on but that two goals in the opening stages exceeded his expectations.
Lowe said: "We knew Wigan scored four against them the other day and it wasn't quite right from them.
"Bolton are a fantastic team, they are playing good football and they have got some good players, which we know.
"But they were coming all the way onto our turf at Plymouth Argyle and we wanted to get at them early doors.
"We asked for a fast start, I didn't expect two goals in the first 15 minutes but they gave us it and we could have had more.
"That's not being disrespectful, but we could of. I thought if we had been a little bit more ruthless in the final third we could have got that.
"So that was the game plan, to get at them early doors because they have had a long trip down and they are off the back of a 4-0 defeat."
