Washington Redskins star pass rusher Ryan Kerrigan isn’t really a household name outside of the NFC East.
But that doesn’t mean other NFL players don’t see what he’s doing and appreciate it.
As Jon Machota of the Dallas News captured above, former pass rusher Rob Ninkovich went on ESPN and declared Kerrigan a top-five name in what he does.
And it is hard to argue any of his points. Kerrigan, after all, has 84.5 sacks since 2011 and indeed 26 over his last two seasons alone. He’s tallied at least 7.5 sacks in every single season without missing a game and 9.5 or more five seasons and running.
Now, would Kerrigan be more widely appreciated if he played for a different team? Possibly. But clearly, those in the know understand Kerrigan is one of the best the NFL has to offer.
