Ryan Kent transfer boost as Rangers 'reluctant' to sell winger amid £10m Leeds United link

Rangers would be 'reluctant' to sell Ryan Kent to Leeds United for the £10million figure that has been reported.

It is claimed from down south the Premier League new boys were prepared to launch a bid for the former Liverpool winger.

But the Daily Record report that Kent is 'happy' at Rangers and living in Glasgow.

The Light Blues haven't been approached by Leeds, but the club aren't willing to entertain an offer of £10m if one does come their way, after signing him for £7m just 12 months ago.

Kent had an inconsistent season at Ibrox last year after an impressive loan spell the year prior.

But he remains an integral part of Steven Gerrard's plans and has started the new campaign in fine form, including a goal against Aberdeen at Pittodrie on the opening day of the Premiership season.

Gerrard said last week: “Ryan had a mixed pre-season last year in terms of injuries and stuff. That certainly had an effect on his consistency and his form

“He performed ever so well and put in some top performances like Celtic Park away, Braga away, but at times he was quite quiet as well. “He has come back in good shape this pre-season. He has had a full pre-season, he is fit, he looks healthy and sharp.

“I think he has backed that up with the performances he has put in so far.”
