Ryan Kent says Rangers situation is what he 'always wanted' as he bats away transfer speculation

Ryan Kent says his current Rangers situation is something he "always wanted" as he dismissed any talk of him leaving the club.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a flying start to the season, and was named Premiership player of the month this morning.

Kent has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent weeks, with the Elland Road club even tabling a bid for the player.

This was knocked back by Rangers, and Kent says he's as happy as he's ever been playing for the Ibrox side.

He said: "Something I've always wanted as a player was to find a club where I'm really settled and I'm playing week-in-week-out. While all the [loan] experience has been beneficial in all criteria of the game, have all benefited to the point where I'm at now.

"I'm in a position now where I can put all those things together and I'm fortunate it's at Rangers Football Club.

"I'm really happy where I'm at right now, I'm enjoying my football so I'll continue to go out on the pitch and enjoy my football. That's at Rangers."

He added: "My dialogue with the club was that I'm in a very good position at the moment. I'm enjoying my football and as long as I can be happy going out on the pitch, winning games and playing for the team, then I'm happy where I am."
