Ryan Kent Rangers transfer test incoming as Leeds United reportedly weigh up third bid

Rangers are bracing themselves for another Leeds United attempt at luring Ryan Kent to Elland Road.

The former Liverpool winger has long been on the Yorkshire club’s radar and Marcelo Bielsa has seen previous bids rejected by the Scottish Premiership champions.

It’s also thought Leeds were also considering a move for Croatian left back Borna Barisic.

But the Scottish Sun reports that they set to test the Ibrox club’s resolve yet again with a £15million bid in the works.

Bielsa is understood to have told football director Victor Orta that the Rangers wide man remains on his wish list and that he’s still keen to try and add the 24-year-old to his squad.

And the Argentinian apparently wants a “quick” response as he looks to shape his squad for another season in English football’s top flight, having guided Leeds back to the promised land for the first time in 16 years last summer.

Gers boss Steven Gerrard issued a hands off warning to Kent’s suitors last summer, but an offer that would more than double the fee Rangers paid for Kent to sign him permanently from Anfield may have to at least be considered.

Speaking last August, Gerrard said: "He’s in a good place and a player we want to keep hold of.

"But yes we have had contact from Leeds and an opening bid has been really strongly rejected."
