Ryan Kent Rangers boost as winger steps up return from injury

Ryan Kent's imminent return from injury will be a timely boost for Steven Gerrard .

The Ibrox side reached the summit of the Premiership before the international break after Celtic 's defeat to Livingston .

The Light Blues managed that feat without Kent, one of their star men from last season, after he limped off with a hamstring problem 40 minutes into the game against Livi last month.

But that's not to say they won't need his assistance if they are to remain in top spot, which will be the real test of Rangers ' title credentials this season.

Kent was expected to return after the international break and the good news for Rangers is that it seems the winger is on course for that timeframe.

The club posted a picture of the former Liverpool man at the Hummel Training Centre as he was put through his paces alongside his team-mates.

Rangers face a trip to Tynecastle on Sunday to face Hearts and although that game will likely come too soon, it appears he is well and truly on the road to recovery.
