Ryan Kent pictured at Rangers training for first time since Liverpool return

Returning Rangers hero Ryan Kent has been pictured training for the first time since sealing his stunning £7million transfer from Liverpool.

The winger’s signing was announced by the Ibrox giants almost on the stroke of midnight on deadline day, much to the delight of the fans.

It finally brought to an end a summer-long saga, with Liverpool insisting he would not be going back to Rangers on another loan.

Now Kent is poised to make his second "debut" in Saturday’s home league clash with Livingston, where around 250 service men and women will be in attendance as part of Armed Forces Day.

The 22-year-old appeared to come through Thursday’s training session unscathed as he and the rest of his team-mates performed drills with and without the ball.

Kent last kicked a ball in anger for Liverpool’s U23s earlier in the summer and will be short of match fitness.

Steven Gerrard put his players through their paces at Ibrox instead of the Hummel Training Centre ahead of a media conference later in the afternoon.

Kent was joined at the stadium by the likes of Joe Aribo, who scored on his debut for Nigeria against Ukraine at the beginning of the week.

Alfredo Morelos also looked lively as he attempts to win back his starting spot he lost in the defeat to Celtic at the beginning of the month.

But it will be seeing Kent back at Ibrox that will most please Gerrard, who was desperate to be reunited with the Liverpool wideman.
