Ryan Kent issues Rangers contract update as he reveals Michael Beale talks

Ryan Kent has revealed he will be discussing his future at Rangers with boss Michael Beale soon.

The winger is out of contract in the summer and could leave Ibrox on a free transfer. In his time at Rangers he has been linked with a number of moves away from Glasgow to the English Premier League. Kent managed to get on the scoresheet against Kilmarnock and put the visitors 2-1 up. Rangers eventually won the game 3-2 after late Killie fight back in Ayrshire.

It means Michael Beale has won seven and drawn one of his eight games as Rangers boss but it was another patchy performance and they remain nine points behind relentless Celtic at the top of the table, with the Hoops beating St Mirren 4-0 at Parkhead. It was a more difficult night than many Rangers fans would have envisaged against the second-bottom side in the Premiership.

Speaking after the game Kent was asked by Sky Sports about his future and if a contract was close to being signed. He said: "Not as as of yet. I'm just concentrating on the remainder of this season. I am sitting down with the manager discussing my future."

Asked if the talk was a distraction, he replied: "Not for myself, maybe for people discussing it on the outside. I'll just be concentrating on my game. The manager has been key in my in my career since I was a young lad. The trust is reciprocated between one another and he is a quality manager."
