Alex Rae reckons Rangers star Ryan Kent is now worthy of a £25million price tag.
The former Ibrox midfielder believes the attacker is deserving of such a hefty valuation due to his potential and his outstanding talents which helped his club win the Premiership and reach the last 16 of the Europa League for a second-straight term.
Kent bagged his 12th goal of the season as Rangers maintained their 100 per cent home record in the top-flight this term with a weekend win over Hibs.
Earlier in the season, English Premier League outfit Leeds United were interested in signing the former Liverpool kid with figures in the region of £14 million being touted.
Rangers rejected all advances for Kent, but Rae believes any suitors who try again for his services during the next transfer window will be looking at having to fork out top dollar.
He said: “If [£14 million] is what Leeds were looking to roughly pay, I think he’s gone again. Looking at the stats this year, his performance levels, the European performances.
“I would say 25 plus. Without a doubt. The modern day player? You have a guy who is 24 who has all of his best years ahead of him.”

Rae pointed to the progression that Kent has made through this season since the Leeds interest came to light and accepts that bidders may again come calling to Ibrox.
Speaking on the Rangers Connection podcast, he added: “I just think with the performances, there will be a few people knocking at the door and I think it is a big year.
“We raised certain questions about Ryan Kent in periods through the season in terms of stats.
“In his last nine games, he has five goals. He now has 12 goals and 13 assists. He has contributed in 25 goals this season.
“He still has a long way to go, but those are impressive stats.”
