Ryan Kent in thinly-veiled Liverpool dig as Rangers target makes new social media move

Ryan Kent has expressed his unhappiness at Liverpool's treatment of him with a thinly-veiled pop at his club on social media.

The 22-year-old has been targeted by Rangers for a return to Glasgow all summer after a successful loan spell that saw him then be bombed out at Anfield.

But Liverpool only want to sell him which rules Steven Gerrard's out with the European champions wanting as much as £12million for the winger.

A move to Leeds also fell through because the Championship outfit were unwilling to spend more than £5m on him and it has left Kent in the wilderness.

He lined up for Liverpool U23s against Tottenham on Saturday in front of less than 200 people and it's clear he is nowhere near the first team under Jurgen Klopp.

And now he has taken a dig at the club with a post suggesting he feels Liverpool are stopping him from moving forward, and are taking a hit by demanding too much money for him in a transfer fee.

He posted a Bible passage from St Peter which reads: “And through covetousness shall they with fiend words make merchandise of you: whose judgement now of a long time lingered not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”

In a more modern language that translates to: "In their greed teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping."

It isn't the first time Kent has taken to Instagram to suggest he is unhappy with his current predicament.

He's posted images from hit TV show Prison Break, and also uploaded an image of Prince with the word 'slave' written on his face.

The former Freiburg and Bristol City loanee then unfollowed Liverpool and deleted all images of him playing for the club from his Instagram.

The only pictures remaining includes one of him scoring for Rangers against Celtic in the 2-1 defeat at Parkhead in March.
