Rangers can 'never replace' Ryan Kent according to pundit Frank McAvennie, after the 24-year old made his competitive return on Thursday night.
Kent made his return to the side in the Europa League on Thursday as part of a triple-sub that changed the game for the Ibrox side.
He missed 11 games due to injury but made an impact from the bench in the 1-1 draw away to Brondby by providing the assist for fellow substitute Ianis Hagi's equaliser.
And former Celtic star McAvennie gave a gleaming analysis of the former Liverpool man, who he reckons Rangers will never be able to replace should they eventually sell him.
He told Football Insider: “He is a phenomenal talent, I’ve said it so many times.
“The boy can do special things. It’s no surprise he’s linked with a move to the Premier League all the time.
“He’s that good. Rangers have loads of options but they can never really replace Kent.
“It’s a massive boost to have him back because it’s a position Gerrard doesn’t need to worry about.
“If he’s fit, he starts. It’s that simple. Hopefully, for Rangers, he can get a good run in the team and keep that fitness.”
Rangers face Ross County at Ibrox on Sunday where they will hope to build on their 6-1 Scottish Premiership victory over Motherwell last weekend.
