Ryan Jack sends Rangers welcome message to Scott Wright amid 'Happy Monday' vibes

Ryan Jack is clearly over the moon to see his former Dons teammate Scott Wright sign a pre-contract deal at Ibrox for the next three seasons.

Record Sport revealed on Sunday night that tricky winger Wright was destined for Govan and the club announced the deal on Monday.

Jack played with the 23-year-old before leaving Pittodrie on a free transfer in the summer of 2017 and took to social media platform Instagram to register his delight at the deal being completed.

Jack wrote: "Welcome to the teddy's Scott Wright. Happy Monday."

The message was punctuated with the red, white and blue colours of the Ibrox club and a smiley face emoji.

Rangers' sporting director Ross Wilson was just as thrilled in securing the winger's future as he fits Rangers' 'football identity' and will improve the squad.

Wilson said: “We look forward to Scott joining Rangers and we are excited to see him continue to develop his talent working with Steven and all of our staff. Scott fits our football identity and our plan for the development of our squad.

"Adding Scott, as a young Scottish player, who will continue to enhance his talent here, is part of our plan. I’ve enjoyed all of our conversations and we can see that Scott is a very humble young man who is both determined and excited to be part of what we are building here at Rangers.

"We thank Aberdeen for their cooperation and professionalism during this period.”
