Ryan Jack drops Rangers return clue as long missing star kicks off comeback countdown

Crocked Ryan Jack has hinted that he is closing in on a Rangers first-team return.

It's been a tough road for the versatile midfielder having not featured for Steven Gerrard's men since the 4-1 win over Dundee United back in February.

Since then, Jack has underwent surgery to try and resolve a troubling calf problem in the summer.

That also meant missing out on Scotland's Euro 2020 campaign, having been an key member of Steve Clarke's squad that qualified.

He has now taken to Instagram to offer hope to fans that he could finally be making his come back.

The 29-year-old shared an image of his boots with the caption 'soon' with an egg-timer and football emoji.

Boss Gerrard will be desperate to bring back the midfielder to add steel in the middle of the park after an up and down campaign so far.

Speaking about Jack last month, the Rangers boss said: “Ryan Jack is due back on the training pitch any day now and hopefully we'll get him back with the group in a couple of weeks."
