Ryan Jack and Brandon Barker hand Rangers double blow as both suffer first half injuries against Dundee United

Ryan Jack and Brandon Barker have handed Steven Gerrard injury concerns after limping off in the first half of his side's match against Dundee United at Ibrox.

Jack's was the second injury problem for Rangers to deal with this afternoon, with Leon Balogun injured in the warm-up and replaced in the starting lineup by Filip Helander.

The midfielder lasted just 10 minutes, going down with a calf injury when no-one was around. The 28-year-old limped off and was replaced by Glen Kamara.

Rangers have since taken the lead thanks to Leeds United target Ryan Kent. The 23-year-old played a one-two with Ianis Hagi on the edge of the penalty box before slotting the ball through goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist's legs.

It was Kent's fourth goal of the season, having already scored against Aberdeen, Kilmarnock and St Johnstone.

The joy turned to further despair for Gerrard, however, as Brandon Barker became the third Rangers player to pick up an injury today.

With barely 20 minutes played, Barker pulled up without being challenged while chasing a through ball.

The 23-year-old went off with a hamstring injury and was replaced by Alfredo Morelos, making his first appearance since the goalless draw against Livingston on August 16.
