Ryan Hardie nears Rangers exit as he's pictured in Blackpool kit ahead of move

Ryan Hardie's time at Rangers has come to an end.

The striker burst onto the scene under Ally McCoist after an incredible scoring record as youth level but struggled to impose himself in the first team.

And he's now set to join Blackpool in a permanent move and has even been spotted in the club's training gear already.

A deal is expected to be completed tomorrow which would see Hardie link-up with his old Rangers and Livingston team-mate Jordan Thompson.

The 22-year-old travelled with the Blackpool squad for their pre-season friendly against AFC Fylde but will watch from the stands.

Hardie made 17 appearances for Rangers but hasn’t scored for them since his first start against Dumbarton in 2015.

He scored twice that day with the second a stunning overhead kick.

He then had a successful loan spell at Raith Rovers before a disappointing one at St Mirren. Hardie then returned for a second successful loan spell at Raith Rovers before enjoying a similar time at Livingston where he scored 15 goals in 32 games.

The 22-year-old signed a new contract in January at Rangers but the club have decided to let him leave in search of first team football.
