Ryan Giggs has backed Manchester United's interest in Jack Grealish but says more will be needed if they want to challenge for the title.
Grealish had starred in a poor Aston Villa side this season, spurring interest from United over a potential summer transfer.
Giggs says Grealish looks like the sort of player United need but argued that an out-and-out centre-forward should also be on the shopping list.
The Reds legend says United are at least three players short of being able to challenge for the title but Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba's performances against Tottenham Hotspur should be a source of optimism.
"If a quality player like [Grealish] comes available, United are going to be [interested]," Giggs told Premier League Productions.
"He looks like a United player, he takes the ball, he attracts loads of fouls.
"I would say that we definitely need a centre-forward. Someone who, if a team is deep, is going to play deep and be on the end of those passes, crosses and score 25 goals.
"I still think if we're going to catch City, we're three or four players short.
"But [it's] definitely exciting and promising with Bruno and Pogba coming into the team."
Fernandes has been a revelation for United since joining from Sporting in January, whilst Pogba turned the game against Spurs on its head.
United were trailing 1-0 when Pogba came off the bench for his first appearance since Boxing Day, and the midfielder won a penalty following a great piece of skill, which allowed Fernandes to equalise from the spot.
