Ryan Giggs names Wales squad for Euro 2020 qualifiers as Bristol City's Ashley Williams and Derby County's Tom Lawrence included

Ryan Giggs has recalled Ashley Williams for Wales' Euro 2020 qualifiers against Slovakia and Croatia.

The defender was left out of the last squad due to his free-agent status following his release from Everton over the summer.

The 35-year-old has since joined Bristol City on a one-year deal and has featured for the Robins in the last four games, thus earning himself a recall to Giggs' squad.

Elsewhere, Aaron Ramsey is named after making an impressive start to his Juventus career, while Derby County's Tom Lawrence is included despite controversy over his arrest for alleged drink-driving last month.

Leeds United striker Tyler Roberts returns after a lengthy injury lay-off.

Wales take on Slovakia in Trnava on October 10 before playing host to Croatia on October 13.

Giggs' side currently sit fourth in the Group E table on six points, but have a game in hand over their opponents.

Wales: Wayne Hennessey, Danny Ward, Adam Davies, Chris Gunter, Ashley Williams, Ben Davies, Neil Taylor, Connor Roberts, Ethan Ampadu, Chris Mepham, Tom Lockyer, Joe Rodon, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, Jonny Williams, Harry Wilson, Matthew Smith, Daniel James, Will Vaulks, Joe Morrell, Gareth Bale, Sam Vokes, Tom Lawrence, Tyler Roberts, Rabbi Matondo, Kieffer Moore.
