Ryan Giggs names the four Arsenal players he disliked

Ryan Giggs has opened up on Manchester United's rivalry with Arsenal, admitting he disliked at least four of their most iconic players.

Giggs was part of the Red Devils side that achieved the treble in 1999, a season after Arsenal had won the double.

The two clubs were the best in England at the time, and as a result matches between them were full of quality, passion and very often aggression.

The Gunners boasted the likes of World Cup winners Patrick Vieira, Emmanuel Petit and Robert Pires in midfield as well as the magician that was Dennis Bergkamp up front.

But according to Giggs, the Wales international not only disliked all of them but also refused to rate them professionally.

"I didn't like Arsenal. I didn't like Vieira because he was dirty and got away with murder. I didn't like Petit because he had long hair. I didn't like Bergkamp," Giggs told the Daily Mail.

"I didn't like Pires even though when you meet him now he's actually dead nice.

"I wouldn't even look at them, didn't know them and didn't want to. I wouldn't allow myself to rate any of them."
