Ryan Fraser to Arsenal set to hand Aberdeen huge windfall thanks to sell-on clause

Aberdeen were last night rubbing their hands at the prospect of a huge windfall as speculation grew over a big-money move for Ryan Fraser.

London rivals Arsenal and Spurs are reported to be preparing for a summer bidding war over the Bournemouth winger who left Pittodrie in 2013.

Now Record Sport can reveal, as part of his £400,000 sale, the Dons inserted a clause that earns them 20 per cent from any future transfer.

With Fraser’s auction expected to open at around the £20m mark, Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes hopes to land a minimum of £4m.

But Arsenal want a wide forward and also a midfielder to replace Aaron Ramsey who is leaving the club this summer to join Juventus on a free transfer.
