Ryan Fraser 'set for Everton move' as Aberdeen's hopes of cash bonanza are finally extinguished

Ryan Fraser is set for a Bosman move to ambitious Premier League outfit Everton, according to a report.

The Bournemouth winger has rejected the chance to extend his deal and play in the remaining Premier League games of the season once his contract expires on June 30.

The Daily Mail claims Carlo Ancelotti is keen to secure the flying attacker's signature and the Scotland international has told teammates a move to Goodison is his most likely option.

Fraser has been training with the South-coast club ahead of the Premier League restart but his seven-year spell will end in days.

He joins fellow soon to be out of contract stars Charlton’s Lyle Taylor and Hull’s Eric Lichaj in refusing to extend into the restarted season.

The stars have decided that lucrative moves cannot be risked for the sake of short-term loyalty.

It means Aberdeen will lose out on a huge sell-on fee for their youth product.

After a stunning term in the Premier League last season where he bagged 8 goals and 15 assists it looked like the Dons were in the running for a massive financial boon.

They inserted a 20 per cent sell-on fee when the winger left Pittodrie and with his transfer value reaching as high as £30 million at one point the Dons would have received up to £6m.

A Bournemouth club statement read: "Winger Ryan Fraser has declined to sign a short-term contract extension."
